The Technology Team of the Fort Payne City School System supports administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents with the continued access and use of technology needed for the learning and communication process.

    Mr. Zane Hardinger

    Zane Hardinger serves as the Network Administrator for the Fort Payne City Schools Technology Department. With over 20 years of dedicated experience in the technology field, he is responsible for managing and securing the district's digital infrastructure to support students and staff.

    A proud alumnus of Fort Payne High School's class of 1999, Zane has a deep-rooted connection to the community and is committed to providing the best technological environment for today's learners.

    Melissa Knowles serves in the dual role of Data Manager and Technology Integration Specialist. Melissa is dedicated to using data-driven strategies to create more engaging and effective learning experiences for every student.

    Mr. Masen Howard

    As a Computer Technician for Fort Payne City Schools, Masen Howard provides critical hands-on support for our district's technology. He is responsible for maintaining and repairing computer hardware and software, troubleshooting network issues, and assisting users with their daily technical needs.

    A graduate of Douglas High School's class of 2022, Masen brings a strong educational background to his role. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Covenant College and a certificate in cybersecurity from Snead State. His experience as a collegiate tennis player instilled a discipline and focus that he now applies to solving complex technical problems, making him a valuable asset to our team.
